Things to do Santorini

In our opinion, these are the activities and sights you should not miss during your trip on Santorin.

A walk from Fira to Oia

Santorini offers one of its most enchanting experiences through the Fira to Oia Hike. This leisurely 10-kilometer walk takes you on a picturesque journey, providing breathtaking caldera views, charming villages, and winding paths. As you embark on this trail, it guides you through quaint villages, scenic viewpoints, and rugged coastlines. Here, you can discover charming churches, traditional Greek architecture, and numerous opportunities for Instagram-worthy moments. It’s a journey that invites you to savor Santorini’s essence at your own pace. Whether you choose to start at dawn to catch the sunrise or opt for a leisurely afternoon stroll, the Fira to Oia hike offers one of the most memorable experiences Santorini has to offer. It’s a key part of your Santorini adventure.

Watching the sunset in Oia is an unparalleled experience that ranks high among the must-do activities in Santorini. As the sun dips below the horizon, the whitewashed buildings of this iconic village are bathed in the warm hues of dusk, creating a mesmerizing backdrop. The famous Oia sunset spot, often near the Byzantine Castle Ruins, is where crowds gather each evening, cameras poised, to witness this natural spectacle. With the sky ablaze in shades of orange and pink, and the Aegean Sea shimmering below, it’s a moment of sheer wonder and tranquility. Whether you’re sipping on local wine at a cliffside taverna or simply sitting on a stone wall, watching the sunset in Oia is an experience that will etch itself into your memory.
